I was
born in Ipswich and brought up in Bawdsey, Suffolk. Always following my
love for art and being inspired by the rugged Suffolk coastline.
I returned to Bawdsey after completing my degree at Loughborough,
Leicestershire in Fine Art Printmaking. I converted an outhouse in the
garden to a fully functional studio space and became involved with
Suffolk Open Studios to allow the public to access my artwork first
hand.
I have exhibited extensively over Suffolk and beyond and am active in the
promotion of my own art work in relation to the artist teacher.
My own inspiration comes from the memories and emotions that are drawn
from me when immersed in the environments of the East Anglian Coast but also
through extensive knowledge of other artists such as Tacita Dean and
Terry Setch.
Currently a member and chairman of Suffolk Open Studios, teaching art in
Suffolk, and Treasurer of Association of Suffolk Art Teachers.
